International SpeakerIn 1994 at nineteen years of age Perry Cross broke his neck in a football accident and was left a quadriplegic. Most people in this situation never leave the hospital but Perry made a decision...”Lets get Moving” In 1997 he was named Suncorp Young Queenslander of the Year and in 1999 he was a finalist for Young Australian of the Year. On a trip to New York he met Christopher Reeve, his “lookalike”, who asked him to act as his ambassador advocating for Stem Cell Research in Australia. Perry went on to meet the Prime Minister who, like everyone who meets Perry, was inspired by his words. Perry’s message is powerfully simple... his story is about purposeful decisions he has made to push himself harder, higher and better no matter what life has thrown his way.”
