Stem Cell Therapy - Can You Help?

On the night of my injury, Sunday 17 April 1994, my family was given a poor prognosis by my medical team, the chances of surviving such an horrific injury were next to nothing.

The life expectancy of someone in my situation was "Ten Years at Best". To give you some idea of the odds of survival with such profound injuries, Superman - Christopher Reeve, who had access to the worlds best level of care, survived nine years post accident. In that time Reeve worked tirelessly and left us with a great legacy "there will be a cure for paralysis".

This message led me to India in 2008 to receive Stem Cell Therapy from Dr Geeta Shroff.
When I explained to my family and close friends that I was going they were sceptical.  It was a potentially risky, expensive, unproven treatment that was only given to incurable and terminally ill patients. What did I have to lose? I was already living on borrowed time. My attitude is to make the most of every opportunity while I still can.

Whilst receiving 3 months of therapy I kept a video diary "Delhi Diarys" (see right) and attracted the interest of media worldwide. Tests on my return to Australia concluded that my breathing had improved from zero to 60% in just three months.  I'm sure you will agree that is a life changing moment for me, my family and friends.

In 2011 I am returning to New Delhi for some "unfinished business" and I am seeking your financial support to help make this treatment happen.
